STORY MAP
The Nazko First Nation Natural Resources Department completed a project to assess potential natural disaster risks that could impact the community. These findings were incorporated into a community-based Disaster Risk Mapping Tool that provides background on the identified disaster risks, relevant maps, and preparedness tools that can be used to increase awareness and inform preparedness and mitigation activities within the region. The overarching goal of this project is to enhance the community’s overall emergency management capacity and build resilience in the face of climate change.
